Mr. Dotto is a 1970 graduate of the Mayo Foundation School of Physical Therapy. He began his professional career in the United States Navy as a staff physical therapist. While in the Navy, he progressed to the position of Director of Physical Therapy and Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at the United States Naval Academy. In 1979, he took over as the Director of Physical Therapy for the Children’s Hospital and Center for Reconstructive Surgery in Baltimore, Maryland. During this time, Mr. Dotto also worked as a consultant to the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Colts and professional tennis players. In 1982, he moved to Erie, PA and became the Director of Physical Therapy at Hamot Medical Center. Then he served as a Vice President at Keystone Rehabilitation Systems for 13 years.
In 1999, Mr. Dotto evaluated the physical therapy landscape in Erie, and saw the need for personalized quality care where the patient is the focus. Thus, he started Dotto Physical Therapy which became a part of MRS Physical Therapy in September of 2008. He specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, foot problems and an osteoporosis exercise program, and continues to provide physical therapy with the philosophy that the patient always comes first.
Mr. Dotto is a Pittsburgh native. He has presented numerous educational seminars throughout the United States in orthopedics and sports medicine throughout his career. He is active in various community service projects throughout the Erie community. He has been married to his wife Cindy for 38 years, and is the proud father of one son.
