Richard Andrascik, PT, DPT

Mr. Andrascik is a 1978 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Batchelor of Science Degree in Sports Physical Therapy. He began his professional career at Sewickley Valley Hospital and continued his career at the Medical Center of Beaver County, where he served as Department Director. In 1985 he formed Medical Rehabilitation Systems in Rochester, PA., and served as President. In 1993 Medical Rehabilitation Systems merged with Northstar Health Services and he remained as Vice-President until 1997. In the interim, Mr. Andrascik established practices in South Carolina and Georgia. In 2002, he established MRS Physical Therapy in Bridgewater, PA.

For the last 29 years, Mr. Andrascik has specialized in orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, sports medicine and industrial physical therapy. During this time, he earned a Master’s Degree in Sports Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987. During the past 15 years, Mr. Andrascik has focused on orthopedics, neurological injury management and industrial medicine; with emphasis on injury prevention and return to work. He has been instrumental in establishing industry prevention programs and workplace redesign. Mr. Andrascik has also been involved with home care and pediatric physical therapy in the Beaver County School Districts.

Mr. Andrascik, a Beaver County native, has been involved in sports with young children, acting as coach for both the boys and girls basketball programs at Mount Gallitzin Academy for over 10 years. He is the proud father of four children.


Scott McCarty, PT, DPT

Mr. McCarty is a 1979 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. He started his professional career at the Medical Center in Beaver. He continued his career at St. Vincent's Rehabilitation Center in Erie, PA. specializing in the rehabilitation of the spinal cord injuries, amputees and stroke patients. He also worked in an acute care center at United Community Hospital in Grove City, PA before joining Medical Rehabilitation Systems in 1986. He has served as Facility Director of the Keystone Rehabilitation Systems’ Center Township and Ellwood City offices. He is pleased to join M.R.S. Physical Therapy and looks forward to the opportunity to provide quality care to the Beaver Valley community. For the last 21 years, Mr. McCarty has specialized in orthopedic and industrial physical therapy. During this time, he earned his Master’s Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991. During the last 15 years, Mr. McCarty has focused on injury prevention, including education and analysis of job sites as potential source of injury due to poor ergonomic design or improper worker behaviors. Mr. McCarty also has pediatric rehabilitation exposure, providing physical therapy for special needs students in several Beaver County School Districts and also in the home environment. Mr. McCarty has also been involved in many community activities, including being an assistant Little League coach, Sunday School teacher, and Choir Director of the Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church Choir. He is a member of the Ellwood City Lions Club, and has served for many years on church session. He also has been a special counselor for Boy Scout Troop 870 as a Personal Fitness Counselor. Mr. McCarty and his wife Sherry are the proud parents of their children Kevin, Sarah and Colleen.

Philip J. Savie, MSPT ECS

Mr. Savie is a 1983 graduate from the University of Miami, Florida, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. He returned to Beaver County to begin his professional career at the Medical Center of Beaver County. Along with performing physical therapy within the hospital, he had his first exposure to the clinical applications of EMG and NCV studies under the direction of the neurologists from Valley Neurological Associates. In 1985, he moved on to receive more extensive training in the electrical studies with Martin, McGough and Eddy Physical Therapy Services. In 1991, he became a Clinical Specialist in Clinical Electrophysiological Physical Therapy certified through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He retains this certification today being one of approximately 100 physical therapists sharing this distinction from across the country. In 1993, he joined M.R.S. Physical Therapy continuing to perform EMG/NCV studies and providing home physical therapy for Aliquippa Hospital and other home care agencies. He is happy to rejoin M.R.S. Physical Therapy establishing his own division to perform EMG/NCV studies. Throughout Mr. Savie’s professional career, he has also established a strong academic background. In 1989, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s Degree on Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Since it’s conception in 1991, he has been an adjunct instructor in anatomy for the John G. Rangos Sr. School of Health Sciences at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh teaching primarily in the human anatomy labs. Prior to that, for 4 years, he was also a teaching assistant for the Anatomy and Cell Biology Department at the University of Pittsburgh. He also served as a lab assistant for the Medical Technology Program at the University of Miami, Florida. Mr. Savie, a Beaver County native, currently resides in Economy Borough with his 2 children Justin and Morgan. He is also a training martial artist/ 1st Degree Black Belt in World Tang Soo Do Association and enjoys making homemade wine as a hobby.

DALE RECKLESS

Dale S. Reckless, PT

Mr. Reckless is a 1989 graduate from Ithaca College with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Therapy. He began his professional career in Rochester, NY working with adults and children with developmental disabilities. In 1991 he relocated to Pittsburgh, PA to work at Harmarville Rehabilitation Hospital. He spent 22 ½ years at this facility working in all areas of physical rehabilitation. From 1991 to 1996 he focused on Orthopedics, Amputee rehab and Spinal cord injury rehab for inpatient rehabilitation. He started and led the Amputee support group from 1996 to 2014. In 1996 he joined the outpatient department and was the outpatient rehabilitation manager from 1998 to 2014. During this time he added a focus on neurological diagnosis of MS, Parkinson, CVA, TBI and Vestibular rehab in addition to providing aquatic, home based therapy and early intervention to pediatric clients. He has been a clinical advisory committee member for The National MS Society since 2002. Mr. Reckless has volunteered for various organizations and events including the ParaOlympics, Disabled Sports USA, Pittsburgh Marathon wheelchair division. In addition, Mr. Reckless has created educational videos for teaching amputee rehabilitation and has lectured at University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University, Duquesne University and Chatham Colleges Physical Therapy programs for amputee and spinal cord injury rehabilitation over the course of his career. Mr. Reckless received special certification in LSVT BIG for Parkinson rehabilitation in 2013. In April of 2014, Mr. Reckless joined MRS Physical Therapy as facility director of the Bridgewater, PA location. He looks forward to delivering quality care to the residents of Beaver County. He resides in Cranberry Township with his wife and 4 children and enjoys his hobby of gardening.
